CHRISTMAS COOKIE MIX IN A JAR



Prep Time: 30 Minutes
Yields: 1 (1-quart) Jar Cookie Mix

Comment:
Homemade Christmas gifts always make a lasting impression on your friends, family, employees and co-workers. They will consider themselves very lucky to receive such a thoughtful gift from you!

Ingredients:
1½ cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
½ cup cooking oats
½ cup M&M’S®
½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
¾ cup brown sugar, packed
½ cup granulated sugar
⅓ cup chopped pecans

Method for Assembly:
In a 1-quart glass jar or a 32-ounce canister or a container with a tight-fitting lid, layer the following ingredients one at time into the glass jar in order: flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cooking oats, M&M’S®, chocolate chips, brown sugar, granulated sugar and pecans. Tap jar gently on the counter to settle each layer before adding the next. Cover jar tightly with lid. Present as a gift or store the layered jar of cookie ingredients at room temperature up to 1 month.

CHRISTMAS COOKIES

Prep Time: 25 Minutes
Yields: 24–26 Cookies

You will need:
1 large egg, slightly beaten
½ cup melted butter
1 tsp vanilla extract

Method:
Preheat oven to 350°F. In a large mixing bowl, stir together all dry ingredients from container. Add egg, melted butter and vanilla extract. Using the back of a large cooking spoon, combine all ingredients until well incorporated. Roll cookie dough into 1½-inch balls then place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
